Get up early, prioritize your day, and don’t forget to make time for your family.
To realize all your desires, you need to learn how to manage your own time and use it effectively. If you’re a student, you should write paper in the evening and spend your nights sleeping.
Although most students do the opposite. If you’re an office worker, you should pay more attention to your health. Everyone has something to work on. For starters, develop healthy morning rituals. These are the ones that set the tone for the rest of the day.
Before we begin, I want to ask you something. Have you heard of the Stanford marshmallow experiment? It was conducted in the late ’60s and early ’70s under the direction of psychologist Walter Michell, who later became a professor at Stanford University.
In this study, children were offered a choice: eat one cookie (sometimes a marshmallow) now or wait 15 minutes and get twice as much candy. After 10 years, the scientists found that the children who could wait for the promised reward had better lives.
Changing something in yourself is very difficult because it is a long and arduous process. But you must go through it if you want to succeed. Through research and personal experimentation, I have found habits that help me change my life for the better.
1. Wake Up Earlier
I am convinced that everyone should develop the habit of getting up earlier. However, in today’s world, this is not easy to do. There are many reasons why you can’t wake up at five in the morning. But you don’t have to be a hero either.
If you usually wake up at 8:00, but you want to get up two hours earlier – try setting your alarm for 7:45. Lasted that way for a couple of days? Decrease the time by another 15 minutes.
And so until you get up at 6:00. Along with this, you will be able to change your evening habits and start going to bed a little earlier.
2. Drink Some Water
This is a must because your body loses fluid overnight and needs to be replenished. A glass of water in the morning gets your metabolism going and helps your body wake up.
3. Make Your Bed
Let this be the first accomplishment with which to start your day. As successful American writer, Tim Ferris says, no matter what’s ahead of you today, you can always make your bed.
This simple but powerful ritual will give you an easy sense of pride and allow you to focus on more important things.
4. Stretch
It will tone your muscles. It takes no more than two minutes, but you’ll be surprised by the effect.
5. Exercise
It can be anything: the gym, yoga, Zumba, walking, running or jumping on a trampoline. You just need to get moving, because physical activity
helps you control your weight;
improve your health;
improves your mood;
it fills you with energy;
promotes good sleep;
improves your sex life;
It’s fun, after all.
6. Take a Contrast Shower
Not only will it give you a feeling of freshness and a burst of energy, but it will also greatly improve your physical and mental well-being. It’s especially nice to do after a workout.
7. Have a Cup of Coffee or Tea
Both of these drinks are good for the body and help you concentrate. In addition, it’s always nice to start your day with a cup of something hot.
8. Stick To a Healthy Diet
Think of your body as a machine. If you want it to last as long as possible, take care of it.
The biggest problem is that people only think about the short term. You need to do more than just diet from time to time. You need to change your diet, choosing a diet that is as healthy for you as possible.
9. Think About Yesterday
There is a saying: “wiser in the morning. We accumulate too many worries during the day, and in the evening we are no longer able to look at things soberly. Try to analyze the day in the morning. That way you can understand what you did right, and where you made a mistake.
10. Be Grateful
After analyzing the previous day, focus on the present. Think about the things for which you are grateful. This will energize you with positive energy.
11. Start a Journal
It may sound clichéd to say, “Dear Diary…,” but it’s therapeutic and gets rid of junk in your head. Write down all your thoughts, ideas, and anxieties there.
12. Be In the “Here and Now
Choose a time to quiet your mind. Make it 5, 10 or 20 minutes. If meditation or prayer doesn’t work for you, try something else: painting or playing the guitar, whatever. The main thing is to do something that will take your mind off the hustle and bustle.
13. Set Goals for Yourself
This is important because this way you can focus on specific things. Goals work like a camera lens. If you set it correctly and focus, you can see a clear picture.
14. Visualize Your Goals
Once you’ve decided on what you want to achieve, visualize it. Add details to your dream, try to feel the moment when you fulfill it.
Don’t think of it as working like a magic wand. No matter how hard you try, there won’t be a Ferrari outside your house tomorrow. Visualization is one side of the coin. Hard work and dedication are the other.
15. Develop a Strategy
To achieve your goals, you need a plan. Think about what you need to do? Within what time frame? What obstacles might come your way?
16. Set Your Priorities for the Day
They should be based on your strategy. Ideally, you should choose three to five activities that will bring you closer to your goal.
17. Read a Book
No matter what genre you prefer, reading is great for stimulating the imagination. Every book has at least one good idea that you can pick up on. Find it and focus on it.
18. Learn Something New
To achieve something, you have to constantly evolve, learn something. You can do this with books, podcasts, or helpful videos. As with habits, you should focus on useful skills that will help you in the future.
19. Work on Your Long-Term Goals
Prioritize tasks in the morning when you are full of energy and enthusiasm. It doesn’t matter if you’re studying, pursuing a career, or a business. Find a space, put away anything that distracts you, and get on with the work that will benefit you the most.
20. Check Email and Social Media
After you’re done with your basic chores, you can check your newsfeed or check your email. But don’t let the Internet take over your attention. Focus on the important stuff and put away the garbage.
21. Take Care of Your Favorite Thing to Do
Think of it as your reward for your hard work. Find something that resonates in your heart. Something you love and are ready to give yourself over to.
22. Catch Inspiration
It could be anything: a mantra, a video, or a motivational article. It sounds luscious, but it really works.
23. Spend Time With the People You Care About
Dedicate yourself 100 percent, and then you’ll get an incredible boost of energy and motivation. Give your loved ones at least 30 minutes in the morning. If you live alone, friends can help. You can even spend this time alone with yourself if that’s more comfortable for you.
There is something special about waking up early and starting to work on yourself. Certainly, with the acquisition of useful habits and skills, a sense of pride will envelop you.

I’ve put together an impressive list, but you don’t have to include every item in your morning ritual. Choose what works for you. And don’t forget the hard work. Changes will appear gradually, so don’t expect riches and glory after a week.
