It is an essential tool that businesses use to ensure that they have reached their customers. It also plays a crucial role in making customers feel connected to a brand especially when they feel targeted by a marketing campaign.

However, not every business owner has enough budget to run marketing campaigns. Small business owners have limited budgets, and have to compete with established businesses. Here are a few ways to launch a successful marketing campaign on a DIY budget;

Start Blogging

Blogging is one of the easiest and cheapest marketing campaigns you can use to attract new customers, grow your audience, and drive more traffic to your websites. This is something you can do on your own especially if you are a good writer.

You can use blogging marketing campaigns to inform your customers about your brand identity and products and how the products beat those of your competitors. You can even share thoughts and opinions on different topics that affect your customers.

This way, you will show how credible your business is. You will also show your customers that you are an expert at what your business does.

Additionally, blogging will help your website show up in search results. Blogging consistently and frequently raises the ranking of your website on search engine results. This way, more customers are likely to see your products and get in touch with you.

Create Videos

Did you know with technological advancements you do not have to hire someone to create marketing videos for you? Well, different free and paid online platforms allow you to create videos for your business easily.

To get started, you do not need to invest in expensive equipment to record the videos. If you do not have a microphone and camera, you can simply use your smartphone. Of course, the videos will have to be edited to meet the requirements of your brand.

For instance, you might need video backgrounds categorized by themes depending on your products. This is something you can do yourself using online tools. Videos play a vital role in helping businesses achieve high click-through and conversion rates.

Research has indicated that about half of customers look for service and product videos before they can make a purchase. You, therefore, should create as many videos as you can and share them online.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is one of the best marketing strategies for business owners who want to personalize how they reach their customers. It also plays a vital role in increasing sales and building long-term and strong customer relationships.

Did you know that more than three-quarters of small businesses use emails primarily as a way of acquiring customers? Again, this is something you can do on your own. You just need to learn how to write effective marketing emails that will convert.

To get started, look for a free or affordable email marketing tool. Some good examples include MailerLite, Constant Contact, and MailChimp. Using these tools, you can nurture your target audience and convert them into customers. You can do this by building email campaigns that educate them and then start sending them offers.

Use Infographics

Designing an infographic does not require a professional designer. You can get tools online that allow you to create infographics. All you need to do is to make sure that they are designed well.

Infographics are easy to read. Your target audience can easily understand the message you are trying to pass. Of course, you might be tempted to take the easier route and write the information instead. Well, you need to note that only a small percentage of people read text word by word.

A bigger percentage of them prefer scanning through pages. Visuals are easier to understand. They are also more appealing. This ensures that your customers will spend some time looking at your infographics compared to reading through the text.

You will also find other sites using your infographics to make their content better. Such businesses are most likely going to indicate the source of the infographic, sending more customers to your business.

Social Media Marketing

We cannot talk about successful marketing campaigns without mentioning social media marketing. Research has indicated that about nine in every ten internet users are on social media every month. This creates a large market for all businesses, whether small or large.

Creating a social media profile for yourself and your business is free. It does not even require the hiring of a social media manager or professional.

You can use this opportunity to generate sales and leads, engage your existing and potential customers, and create awareness around your brand.

For successful marketing campaigns on social media, you need to come up with an effective content marketing strategy for your business. These strategies might vary from one business to another depending on the nature of the business and the target audience.

In addition, you can invest a small budget in social media advertising. This is vital when it comes to generating awareness and increasing online sales. The good news with this advertising is that you set your budget and target audience.
