Who doesn’t love free clothing and accessories? As a business, you can charm customers, and customers to-be, by offering them amazing promotional clothing or accessories for free. If you want to use this budget-friendly, provenly successful marketing strategy, you’ll first have to decide on what type of clothing or accessory you want to print your logo onto.

To get you started, here are six types of clothing and accessories that are perfect for promotional marketing:

1. Sunglasses

Free sunglasses are certain to excite people. Whether you’re giving them out at an event, a trade show, or as a bonus gift for a customer who purchased something special, the person who receives your company’s promotional sunglasses should be thrilled.

As they wear them around afterward, people will see your logo emblazoned on the side of the sunglasses, and wonder what that cool logo’s all about. Even as we approach cooler months, the need to shield your eyes remains important, and as your customers keep their eyes protected, they’ll have a reminder of your brand with them as well.

2. Polo Shirts

Is your business focused on professionals who like to look sharp? If so, custom polo shirts are a great investment opportunity. Polos have a classy look to them, and people pay a lot of attention to the logos on them when checking them out.

By crafting a polo that’s comfy, stylish, and which features your brand in an aesthetically pleasing manner, you’ll be creating a top-tier promotional marketing gift to distribute. When you’re mingling with other businesses or trying to attract people to your business’s booth at a convention, the promise of a free polo will prove highly attractive.

3. T-Shirts

Some businesses cater to a much more casual, active crowd. In these cases, going with a more straightforward t-shirt is a better idea. You can find creative ways to make your business’s brand and name pop on the shirt, so this promo gift idea will be especially well-suited to companies that focus on their creative image.

Up-and-coming small businesses often find great success by using this product to expand their brand’s reach. Tie-dye and other unique color palettes can help to elevate the appeal of a promotional t-shirt as well. 4. Hats

One of the most popular clothing items businesses brand and give out, free hats excite people nearly as much as free sunglasses do. Be sure to consider what type and style of hats are currently popular with the audience you’re targeting, as you want to ensure it’s the sort of hat they’ll wear more than once.

Keep your logo prominent, and choose colors that will compliment a wide range of styles, that way you’re more likely to enchant people to engage with your business via these fun promotional gifts. If someone falls in love with one of your hats, they’ll provide you with a practically-free mobile billboard on their head that will greatly expand the reach of your brand. If you can get a social media influencer wearing one of your promotional items, the amount of exposure you’ll get will be mind-blowing!

5. Wristbands

While not as popular as they once were, wristbands used to be a top promotional item. In some cases, especially with sporty crowds, the love of wristbands remains, however. Once again, knowing the crowd you’re trying to attract is critical to finding the promotional item that will get you the most bang for your buck. Keep wristbands as simple as possible if you go with this choice, and make sure your company’s logo and name are printed in a way that’s easy to read. Doing so will make it much more likely that people will notice your brand as the wearer interacts with (or walks by) them.

6. Hoodies

While they are the most expensive promotional item choice on this list, they are perfect for the upcoming colder months. A free hoodie is almost unheard of for most people, so if they see that you’re offering them, they will quickly flock toward you. If you want to truly stand out at a trade show in the future, and make your brand seem extra caring, the investment in promotional hoodies to give out can be well worth it.

By showing customers that you care, you’re unlocking the ability to more easily pitch your products and services to them.
