HI, I’M JEFF WIENER.
You’re here because you want to learn more about me. I’m 50 years old. I live in Toronto with my wife, Heather, we met in our second year of university. We have two kids in university and a dog.
And I’m thinking this isn’t what you really wanted to know.
What you really want to know is, IS THIS GUY WORTH FOLLOWING, AND DOES HE KNOW WHAT HE’S TALKING ABOUT?
SO, LET’S START WITH
THE GOOD STUFF:
I’ve been running businesses for over 30 years. Out of my entire career, I spent only 6 months working for someone else, and it was the longest 6 months of my life. During those first few months as a wage slave, I started to realize I had entrepreneur in my blood.
Quitting that job was the best decision I ever made. Sure, starting my own company came with its own struggles. But it's been a success, not just from a personal satisfaction standpoint, but financially.
From our third year in business onwards, we had continuous positive cash flow. That's 288 months in a row, or 24 years. (I discuss my cash flow strategies in my full-length book, available in the fall of 2018.)
Starting in 2012, and for 4 years in a row, we were listed as one of the fastest-growing businesses in Canada. We doubled revenues many times over, finally growing into a healthy 8-figure business.
Over 27 years in business, there's only been one year when my revenue was lower then the previous year’s.
Starting in 2008, I created an entrepreneur-proof investment strategy that just plain works. It has produced a 25% compounded year-over-year return for the last 10 years, and 30% year-over-year compounded return for the last 27 years.
By the age of 49, I was able to semi-retire and live the life I had envisioned when I was 20.
At this point I will take you in one of two directions. Direction 1 to read more about my background and how I build my company, and direction 2 where I ask the question: “Are you living the entrepreneurial dream?”
